FOOD FOR THE BODY


Strawberry Romaine Salad (from http://www.parents.com/)

2 heads romaine lettuce
1 pint strawberries, hulled
1 medium-size red onion
2 tablespoons sesame seeds
3/4 cup light mayonnaise
1/3 cup sugar
1/4 cup skim milk
2 tablespoons vinegar

Lightly toast sesame seeds for 2 minutes in a small skillet, or until slightly fragrant.

Tear romaine lettuce into bite-size pieces. Slice strawberries and onion. Toss with lettuce in a large bowl.
Whisk mayonnaise, sugar, milk and vinegar together in a small bowl. Add to salad and toss just before serving. Top with toasted sesame seeds and serve.

Here's a question...does it take the points down if you eliminate the onion in something? Probably not, but I'm not a real onion fan...this is why I ask! Love this recipe though! YUMMY!

Nope. Unfortunately onions are point-free. Tyler hates onions too! It must run in the family =)
